Blade Pile partnered with Bridge It NZ to install foundations for a 20+ metre bridge in the Far North, designed to withstand challenging flood conditions. Each pile was engineered to carry 30 tonnes in both compression and uplift, ensuring the bridge remains secure even when submerged under more than a metre of water during heavy rainfall.
For this project, the Blade Piles were fully cast in concrete and integrated into the bridge structure, providing a robust, long-term foundation capable of resisting both vertical and lateral forces. The screw piling system allowed precise installation in a remote, water-prone location with minimal environmental impact and site disturbance.
This project highlights the versatility of Blade Piles for critical infrastructure, demonstrating their suitability for high-load applications in areas prone to flooding or variable ground conditions.
