For Engineers

Blade Pile is an engineered steel screw pile designed to AS 2159 (Piling: Design and installation). More than 150 engineering companies across New Zealand are certified to design Blade Piles. Contact us to become a certified Blade Pile design engineer or to connect with a local engineer for your project.

Why engineers specify Blade Pile

  • End-bearing design – the blades are screwed down to a competent bearing layer and carries the load at the toe, below weak near-surface soils
  • Capacity verified on install – installation torque confirms capacity on every pile
  • Higher load capacity – outperforms a bored pier or standard screw pile of the same size
  • Independently tested – an ongoing programme of independent structural and geotechnical testing, including destructive testing of the blade and pipe well beyond design limits, and independent weld testing
  • One system for most problem sites – expansive soils, liquefaction, contaminated and archaeological sites, underpinning, re-levelling, temporary works and more
