For the Whakatāne Aquatic and Fitness Centre, Blade Piles were installed to provide a stable foundation for the canopy over the outdoor pool, which has now been completed to keep patrons SunSmart during the summer months.
The site presented significant challenges due to the extensive underground services typical of an aquatic centre. Blade Piles were the ideal solution, allowing the foundation to bridge over these services without costly excavation or disruption. The piles transfer structural loads safely into stable ground below, ensuring long-term performance for the canopy and surrounding structures.
