We spent several days in the beautiful town of Motueka, partnering with local installers to install Blade Piles for the new Motueka Public Library.
A Nelson-based certified Blade Pile engineer, part of one of the 140 engineering firms we collaborate with nationwide, incorporated screw piles into the footings design to resist uplift forces caused by wind and earthquakes. The piles transfer structural loads safely into competent ground, providing a stable and reliable foundation for the building.
By using Blade Piles, the project team achieved efficient installation with minimal excavation, while ensuring the library’s foundations meet stringent performance requirements for both seismic and environmental loads. This project demonstrates how Blade Piles offer durable, engineered solutions for civic buildings, combining safety, efficiency, and adaptability to local conditions.
